Last Wednesday I received an absolute delight of an email informing me that Lookfantastic were offering 20% discount! Quite often I have to stop myself from going on their website otherwise I'll lose self-control and buy pretty much everything on there; but on this occasion I just couldn't resist. This was a 'Beat the Beauty Clock' promotion lasting for one day where the discount drops by 1% every hour. I've had a few things that I've been wanting to buy for a while but just haven't got round to it so this was the perfect opportunity. The clock started at 9am but as I was starting work at 9.30am I didn't get round to ordering till about 11am so the discount had dropped to 18%, but this was still a very generous amount off!
The first thing that I added to my shopping basket was TIGI Bed Head Shampoo and Conditioner. I've used these in the past and I love it but it's quite expensive and the 750ml bottles were very inconvenient to carry back and forth from home whilst I was at university so I haven't used them in a few years. Now that I'm not as much of a poor student and am more or less living in one place I've decided to repurchase. As I've mentioned a few times before, I'm currently on 'mission grow hair' so I wanted to get a shampoo and conditioner that I know works for me in keeping my hair healthy and helping it grow. The Urban Antidotes range specialises in colour/heat damaged hair so is perfect for what I need it for. There is also an offer on at the moment to receive a free TIGI Styling Brush worth £10 when you buy any Tween Duo, which was a lovely welcome extra.
I also decided to purchase Redken Hair Cleansing Cream which is a clarifying shampoo. If hair ever starts to feel lank and greasy even after being washed, quite often this could be due to product build up. The best solution for this is to use a clarifying shampoo every so often to remove this product build up and leave it feeling silky smooth. I'll be using this on more of a monthly basis as It's best not to use this every time you wash your hair as using it too often can dry out the hair, but it's good for whenever you feel like your hair needs a pick-me-up.
I was really excited to finally try Benefit Puff Off as I've seen so many bloggers raving about it and it was also on this month's wishlist. I've been looking for a good eye cream for a while and I really loved the idea of the cooling iron applicator . It feels so refreshing and smooths out the under-eye area. I think I'll need to use this for a little bit longer before I can really ascertain it's benefits but so far I'm impressed.
My fourth and final item was a simple repurchase- my beloved Moroccanoil Treatment. I love this so much for keeping my hair feeling really hydrated and I really miss it whenever I run out.
